Installation
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- Ableton Live 10 Suite or newer (or Live Standard with Max for Live)
- Max for Live (included in Suite, or add-on for Standard)
- macOS 10.15+ or Windows 10+
Download
Section titled “Download”After purchase, you’ll receive:
- A download link via email
- Your license key
You can also access downloads anytime from the customer portal.
How to load Harmonybeam in your Live set
Section titled “How to load Harmonybeam in your Live set”Option A: Drag and drop
Section titled “Option A: Drag and drop”Just drag and drop Harmonybeam.amxd onto a MIDI track directly from anywhere.
Option B: Add to your User Library (recommended)
Section titled “Option B: Add to your User Library (recommended)”For easy access in all projects:
- Open Live’s browser (View → Browser or Cmd/Ctrl + Alt + B)
- Navigate to Places → User Library → Presets → Max Audio Effect
- Create a new folder called
Harmonybeam - Drag
Harmonybeam.amxdinto this folder
The device will now appear in your browser under Max for Live → Max Audio Effect → Harmonybeam.
3. Add to a MIDI track
Section titled “3. Add to a MIDI track”- Create a MIDI track (or select an existing one)
- Drag Harmonybeam onto the track
- The device will load and prompt for your license key
4. Activate your license
Section titled “4. Activate your license”- Load your license file in the activation dialog
- Click Activate
- You’re ready to go!
Updating
Section titled “Updating”When updates are released:
- Download the new version from the customer portal
- Replace the old
.amxdfile with the new one - Reload any projects using Harmonybeam
Your license carries over automatically.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Device won’t load
Section titled “Device won’t load”- Ensure you have Max for Live (Live Suite, or Max for Live add-on)
- Check that Live is version 10 or later
- Try restarting Live
Activation failed
Section titled “Activation failed”- Check your internet connection
- Verify you loaded the right license file
- Contact support if issues persist
